Abstract

? During the processing of synthetic aper- ture radar (SAR) images, unknown-moving objects cause phase modulations in their phase histories. De- pending on the motion, such modulations cause unde- sirable image distortions such as blurring and object- displacement artifacts. This paper discusses the es- timation of time-frequency representations of non- stationary signals, by means of autoregressive moving- average (ARMA) model with time-dependent coeffi- cients. This estimate will determine the object?s mo- tion law and consequently the possibility of reconstruct- ing and plotting the true trajectory.
