Welcome to IMAACA 2026!
Dear Sir/Madam,
innovations and improvements are required to react quickly to the new trends of the global economy. Over the years, Modeling & Simulation (M&S) has proved to be one of the most effective, beneficial and successful methodologies to investigate and study complex systems belonging to various sectors/areas. Nevertheless, to take full advantage of this technology there are relevant issues that keep challenging the researchers towards even more advanced solutions and approaches where emerging and cutting-edge technologies are absorbed into. M&S is widely and successfully applied in many application domains, ranging from industry to social sciences, from logistics to military, from energy to healthcare; in this sense M&S provides a multidisciplinary perspective where theory and data from different fields can be used to build models and simulations that provide insights in to the system considered.
The 2026 International Conference on Integrated Modeling and Analysis in Autonomous Control and Cognitive Agents (IMAACA) will be a platform for knowledge exchange, the review and discussion of theoretical advances, research results, and industrial experiences, among scientists, researchers, decision makers, practitioners and students dealing with the topics under the umbrella of multidisciplinary modeling & simulation.
Therefore, we would like to kindly invite you to take an active part in this conference and in the co-located events that will be held at Genova, Italy on September 21-23, 2026 and explore with us the latest news, views and developments in the exciting world of multidisciplinary modeling & simulation.
Sincerely,
I3M 2026 Organization Committee

Tracks
Chair: (a)Tamás Ruppert, (b)Abdulrahman K. Eesee, (c)Tuan-anh Tran
Affiliation: (a)(c)University of Pannonia (Hungary), (b)Northern Technical University (Iraq)
Track Description: This track focuses on simulating human behaviors and actions as a core element in collaboration with autonomous control, cognitive agents, and decision-support systems within the context of socio-technological complex systems.
We invite contributions that attempt to collect data, compute, model human physical/physiological/mental states, cognition, decision-making processes, behaviors, actions, and interactions, enabling simulations of predicting individual-, group-, and system-level outcomes, thus informing design choices or system monitoring and management.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Accumulation and adaptation of human knowledge, skill, habit, and mental model
- Cognitive and affective architectures
- Agent-based and system-dynamics social simulation
- Human digital twin
- Data-driven and hybrid behavior models (including personalization)
- Detection of accumulation and changes in human status, in physical/physiological/mental aspects
- Decision-making process under uncertainty, workload, stress, and fatigue
- Modelling communication and coordination in team collaboration
- Dynamics of mixed human-technology-automated agent decision-making
- Explainability, trust, and ethics in human-agent interaction
- Effect of contexts such as social norms, cultural differences, values, and individual capabilities on team collaboration
- Multimodal data collection and model calibration (such as interaction logs, eye tracking, physiology, motion)
- Verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification for behavior models
