Integration of human factors models is one of the most challenging issues in simulation. The consideration of ergonomic and behavioral aspects not only improve the accuracy of simulation models but also provide with new dimensions of analysis and experimentation such as health risks, motivation, comfort and other key subjective measures. There are many open questions concerning topics such as:

The consideration of ergonomic and behavioral aspects not only improve the accuracy of simulation models but also provide with new dimensions of analysis and experimentation such as health risks, motivation, comfort and other key subjective measures. There are many open questions concerning topics such as: How can available models be integrated in simulation? How can their accuracy be improved?

What is the level of detail appropriate in practical applications?

What verification, validation and accreditation (VVA) techniques might be employed?

How do they affect a simulation project’s management?

How can human factors models contribute to the profitability of a simulation project?

We kindly invite you to submit contributions presenting experiences, case studies or advances in ergonomics, behavioral science, human factors models and their interface with simulation, irrespective of the field of application.
