Modeling and Simulation of physical systems
Track Description
The Modeling and Simulation in Health Care track explores the various aspects of modeling and simulation in the health care domain. Papers in this track focus on the modeling of physical systems, such as joints and muscles, the use of virtual reality for the treatment of disorders and/or rehabilitation, and the development and validation of medical simulators. Papers that share successes and lessons learned in adopting modeling and simulation solution for medical imaging tool, patient safety program are also welcome to submit to this track.
The health care industry benefits from the use of simulation and other Operations Research (OR) techniques capable of integrating the entire (or parts of the) health services supply chains and helping manage inventory levels, identify inefficiencies and improve patients, staff and information flow.
